Home is the place where everyone is at ease. But the place like examination hall is a far cry from that. The questions here arise are: Is the ‘nervousness’ causing you to underperform in JEE? Do you sweat as examinations approaches? Here are some tips to overcome such psychological problems!

Do not mug up and Try to focus on long lasting understanding of the concepts: It is true that most of the students waste their time in just reading the concepts without understanding them. In celerity, they waste a vital period of importance. However, it is also true that some concepts are cleared just before the day of exam which remains a mystery throughout the year.

Meditate and take a sound sleep: Before the day of exam, take a sound sleep in the night of about six hours. It helps in the retention of perplexing concepts in your mind. In the examination hall, when examiner is busy in counting and distributing sheets take a deep breath and meditate for 2 minutes to maintain your cool throughout the exam. This will help you in memorizing the concepts you have studied in the past. You will no longer be surrounded by bewildering thoughts.  Henceforth, you will feel lighter and easy and can solve MCQs quickly.

Eat nutritious food, avoid eating junk: Sugar, chocolates and jaggery are the quickest sources of energy. Consume any of them before exam. It will keep you going. They are rich in carbohydrates. They are digested and absorbed gradually and releases energy gradually. They provide with warmth and energy for a longer period, without harming the internal organs.

While preparing for IIT-JEE, make points and illustrations for easy understanding: For the quick understanding of the topic before exam keep such notes handy for the last and final revision. It always proves helpful in building up the confidence among the students.

Carry your water bottle in the examination hall: Water regulates body temperature. It keeps your body cool and maintains the moisture (perspiration) of the body that evaporates on your skin.

Remember that you are well prepared for JEE and your hard work will not be wasted.

Before solving, read and understand the questions completely: Due to dearth of complete understanding of the questions many bright students fail to achieve Target IIT. Do not haste. Give suitable time to each question. Read, understand and solve. Mostly, the options in the MCQs appear similar, in this case, use shortcuts, formulae and give it a thought.

Don’t stick to a single question: In most cases, students waste their crucial time on solving the tricky questions for a long time. It is advisable to leave such questions for the spare time in the end. Solve easy and less difficult questions quickly in the first half.
