All Engineering Exams in India National & State which students can attempt in 12th

Below is a list of exams you can attempt in order to secure seat in government college or private college. There are a total of 3445 engineering colleges in India out of which 178 colleges are government while remaining are private. A total of 14,74,000 seats for Engg colleges in India.

 National Level Engineering Exams in India

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) – Main

These Exams are conducted by CBSE for admissions to any of the 31 NITs and 18 IIITs. There are many institutes as well which accept Admission via JEE main results. The total number of seats in NITs are 14,555 out of which 7283 open and 7272 reserved, while for IIITs 9885 seats are there.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) – Advance

These Exams are conducted by IIT for admissions to any of the 17 IITs ans IMS DHANBAD. There are a total of 9902 seats in IITs and 962 in ISM Dhanbad. Out of 9902 seats 4520 seats are for general and remaining are for reserved category.


 

State Level Engineering Exams in India

Most of the colleges in the state level university have reservations for student belonging to that state so it is highly recommended that you only attempt for your state.

IPU – CET(Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University)

85% of the seats are reserved for Delhi Region Candidates .These Exams are conducted for admission to Delhi Various Institute. This university was founded in 1998 and is graded ‘A’ by NAAC(National Assessment and Accreditation Council).

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WB-JEE)

These Exams are conducted by West Bengal Joint Exams board and if you clear the exams you can get admission to many

EAMCET (Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test)

These Exams are conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH). These Exams are for admission to Government and Private Institutes in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

SEE-UPTU(State Entrance Examination – Uttar Pradesh Technical University)

Formerly known as UPSEAT is conducted by Gautam Buddha Technical University, Mahamaya Technical University on rotating bases. These exams are for admission to all private and government colleges in UP

KEAM (Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical)

For admissions to various Engg collge in Kerala is conducted by Office of the Commissioner of Entrance Exams run by the Government of Kerala.

Note Many Exam like OJEE (Orissa Joint Entrance Exams), GCET(Gujarat Common Entrance Test) and other are accepting JEE Mains score.


 

Private University Engineering Exams in India

KIIT Entrance Examinations: This Exam is conducted by the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology.

Manipal Institute of Technology entrance exam (MUOET): If you wish to get admission to Manipal Institute of technology

BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science):  Admission Exams for Birla Institute of Technology

VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination): Over 1.3 lakhs students appear for this exams every year. It is taken to enter VIT University.
