IIT Bombay Cut Off 2011 to 2015

IIT Bombay Cut off: Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) is one of the best university in the world ranking at 36 (source). Studying in this college is a dream of each and every IIT aspirant but with cut off for this college in computer science being 59 you can understand the level of competition which you are suppose to deal with. Below are the details Cut off for each branch that IIT offers along with their cut off in JEE Advance.

Computer Science and Engineering (B.Tech) IIT Bombay Cut Off

IIT Mumbai Cut Off Computer science

The cut off for CS in 2014 was just 51 which has been the lowest ever. IIT – Bombay CS as the lowest cut off amongst all IITs and their branches. We do not expect it to increase by much in JEE 2016 as the placement for IIT Bombay this year has been excellent. This year again we expect the cut off to be near 55.

Electrical Engineering

IIT Mumbai Cut Off Electrical Engineering

Electrical Engineering is another branch of IIT – Bombay which sees a lot of competition. In 2015 the cut off for this branch was 240 which is rear we do not expect the cut off for this branch to go above 200 in 2016.

Electrical Engineering with M.Tech. in Microelectronics

Electrical Engineering with M.Tech. in MicroelectronicsThis is a dual degree M.Tech from IIT-M. It is a nice option for those who were not able to get Electrical Engineering B.Tech. The future for this course is bright. With this field you can create nice application using Internet of Things

Electrical Engineering with M.Tech. in Communications and Signal Processing

Electrical Engineering with M.Tech. in Communications and Signal Processing

With India reaching almost 80% of mobile penetration is come as no surprise that communication and signal processing engineers will remain one of the most sort after professional in telecom industry.

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical EngineeringMechanical Engineering was once of the wanted branches which is loosing its craze to CS. We expect the cut off for this branch in 2016 should not increase buy much and should remain at 650.

Mechanical Engineering and M.Tech. in Computer Integrated Manufacturing

Engineering Physics

Engineering Physics

Engineering physics is one of the most respected academic degrees awarded in India and many countries. In this field you will learn to develop an enhanced understanding of the interrelationship between Physics ( & Maths) and Engineering. We do not expect much changes in the cut off in this field and should remain at around AIR 900.

Engineering Physics and M.Tech. with specialization in Nano Science

Engineering Physics and M.Tech. with specialization in Nano ScienceNano Technology is the future of computing with google and other companies spending a huge amount on research in this field we expect a very bright future. The awareness for Nano Technology has increased in 2015 and we expect that the cut off this field should reduce to 1200 for JEE 2016.

    • Manas Kapoor says:

      Hi Usha,
IIT Mumbai does not offer electronic and communication in B.Tech it offers the program in M.Tech

We will advice you to go for
      B.Tech Electrical Engineering or
M.tech in Electrical Engineering with M.Tech. in Communications and Signal Processing
if you wish to do electronic and communication
Yes we think it is one of the best course alternatively you can also consider
Engineering Physics and M.Tech. with specialization in Nano Science
Nano science will have alot of scope by the time you clear B.Tech
