With the first results coming out for the IIT-JEE new pattern of JEE Mains and Advance, for the first time the eligibility criteria is not just looking at students clearing the JEE entrance but the selection is considering only the top 20 percentile in 12th class board exams. This trend is changing the stance of students neglecting the 12th class syllabus and concentrating on JEE preparation. That is why at Kaysons Education, our JEE Mains 2015 preparation includes comprehensive questions in Mathematics, Physics and chemistry that further aids your 12th class syllabus as well as assists you through the JEE preparations.

As per the current JEE pattern, only the top 1, 50,000 students that have cleared the JEE (Mains) are eligible to appear for the JEE (Advanced). But the admission to IIT is based on the students’ eligibility to have cleared 12th class among the top 20 percentile in that specific board. Though the debate is still on about the merits and demerits of the changed pattern, it seems it is here to stay.

Thus, as you prepare for the JEE Mains 2015 ensure that you do not lose focus on your 12th class examinations as that is strong point for joining the premium institutions of IIT now. The normalization of 12th class marks along with clearing JEE Mains is the only way to get admission to a good engineering college.

Studying for JEE Mains 2015

Most of the students that have cleared IIT-JEE Mains 2013 are first timers and no longer can you afford to drop a year to prepare for IIT or any other engineering college. So the earlier you begin studying, the better it is for your future admissions. Though there are no thumb rules for clearing the exam, hard work, focus and determination towards your goal is essential. We’ll discuss the pertinent topics that are the basis of the subjects and are applied in the other topics when you prepare for JEE 2014 and 2015.

Chemistry: This is considered to be the most important subject if you are looking to score high. Most of the toppers have done extensively well in chemistry and got high AIR. Do not neglect Inorganic Chemistry as it is very scoring.

Physics: Ensure that you complete Dynamics and Kinematics completely and thoroughly. As a large number of questions are asked from Electromagnetism and Theory of Fields, you need to cover them completely.

Mathematics: Some of the major topics that you need to completely cover are Sequences Determinants, Vectors, Permutations and Combination. It is scoring if you get the fundamentals of the 3D and Coordinate Geometry done properly.

As we say, it is completely possible for even an average student to clear IIT JEE as all that is needed is the right guidance, proper course material and your willpower to get there.
