JEE Mains To Provide Lateral Entry To Engineering Diploma Holders

The JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) has achieved popularity all over. The joint entrance exam, was first conducted in theLateral Entry To Engineering Diploma Holders year 2012 and replaced AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Exam). This year students will be applying more than 13.57 Lakh and 50 per cent candidate will be on a quota based. The JEE Mains score is helpful in taking admission in various undergraduate programmers in IITs, NITs and other technical institutions in India.

All the eligible candidates who have successfully completed their Engineering/ Pharmacy/ Architecture diploma program for AICTE (All Indian Council for Technical Education) approved institute with 45 per cent marks (40 per cent only for reserved category candidates) can apply for the admission to the second year of four- year degree programme of Pharmacy/Engineering and five year Architecture programs through Lateral Entry Notified AICTE.

These candidates are eligible for the admission process and can easily admit to their respective courses. All these candidates need not appear for any entrance examination. They can apply for any course by filling up the form and by submitting necessary information about their education.

According to the All Indian Council for Technical Education, if any diploma level candidate seeking for the admission in the first year of engineering program or five year Architecture program and has a certificate of intermediate education, then the candidate will be selected and will be admitted to the course on the basis of certificate of intermediate education.

There is great news for all the diploma holders as now they have received a more chance for the purpose of applying. The date has been extended from July 27 to July 30 and it has been extended over request from all the eligible candidates, who were not able to confirm their board marks. The results from 45 education university/ boards has been by received by the JEE Mains apex board.
