Question

The size of the face of a dancer is 24 cm ×16 cm. The minimum size of a plane mirror required to see the face of dancer completely by

(i) one eyed dancer.        (ii) two eyed dancer

(Distance between the eyes is 4 cm)

Solution

Correct option is

(i) 12x8 cm2, (ii) 12x6 cm2

(i) For one eyed dancer, the minimum size of mirror should be half of the face size.

                 So, minimum size

                                                 .

(ii) For two eyed dancer minimum length of mirror

The minimum width of mirror

So required size
