Question

A player throws a ball which reaches the other player in 4 seconds. If the height of each player is 1.8 m, what is the maximum height attained by the ball above the ground?

Solution

Correct option is

21.4 m

The time of flight,

Since  t = 4s

.

Now,

                      .

 Height above the ground = 19.6 + 1.8 = 21.4 m.
