Question

How many grams of NaOH should be dissolved to make 100 cm–3 of 0.15 M NaOH solution?

Solution

Correct option is

0.6 g

∴1000 cm3 of 0.15 M NaOH contain NaOH = 0.15 mole

∴ 100cm3 of 0.15 M NaOH contain NaOH

  =

    (Molar mass NaOH = 40 g mol–1)
