Question

Area of Δ formed by line x + y = 3 and  bisectors of pair of straight lines x2 – y2 +2y = 1is

Solution

Correct option is

2

The given are x2 – (y – 1)2 = 0

or x – y + 1 = 0, x + y – 1 = 0

Their bisector are x = 0, y = 1 and x + y = 3

Solving in pairs the vertices of ΔABC are (0, 1), (0, 3) and (2, 1). One side along y-axis.
